With the 2013 “The Conjuring” movie, director James Wan began what will become unexpectedly one of my favorite privileges in the horror movie. Although cross films were somewhat successful, the appropriate three cOnjurt Films have succeeded in creating an original creeping world based on two persuasive and surprising people, whether they played wonderfully by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.
Based on the case files for the investigators and the knowledge of Satan in real life, Ed and Lauren Warren, You are invoked Films tell about their efforts to help tormented families from the supernatural forces of nature. This leads us to “the last rituals”, the fourth batch that has been announced as “The issue that ended everything“Certainly it looks like a conclusion, and if so, the series ends with another strong entry.

After an introduction that highlights the birth and childhood of their daughter Judy, the “recent rituals” settled in 1986 where Ed and Lauren (Wilson and Mazraa) stopped taking issues, and this is greatly due to the exacerbation of his condition. Instead, they spend their spare time giving lectures for small groups at universities. At home, Judy (Mia Tomlinson) is struggling with pre -places like her mother. In a lighter note, she was heading towards her boyfriend Tony (Ben Hardy), who is secretly preparing for her suggestion.
Meanwhile, in the industrial suburb of West Besston, Pennsylvania, the Smurl family found itself a target of evil and supernatural. The husband and wife Jack and Janet Samal (Elliot Kwan and Rebecca Kaldr) live in a two -storey house crowded with their four daughters and their parents. The strange events begin after one of the girls has grown a long mirror to confirm it. But the meetings quickly and intensify violently, leaving the terrifying family desperate to help.
Of course, the warriors are eventually involved in the end, but not without hesitation. I will not spoil what leads to their involvement, but director Michael Chavez, who works with the trio in writing the script in Ian Goldberg, Richard Ning, and David Leslie Johnson-Magoldrick, is patient in building Warren’s story, where he intersects with Smurls. It is interesting that this patience has always been powerful You are invoked films. It is ready to spend time on the characters and their relationships. It is a feature that can make movies feel slow. But I always found it influential, and it does not differ here.
As from the beginning, all this revolves around Ed and Lauren. Over the years, I created watching Patrick Wilson and Vera Vera Pharmega from these two wonderful people with an emotional connection to the audience, which makes their journey together the real axis of the series. Their loving and dedicated union has always played an important role in these stories and there is no difference in “recent rituals”. It is the great chemistry of Wilson and Faraja that makes this central relationship resonant.

But of course this is a horror movie, and as with its predecessors, the “recent rituals” adhere to its old approach to intimidating its fans. Sometimes almost simple and effective. Etchon keeps a jump alike, instead depends on deliberate camera movements, smart lighting and strange sound design. While there are some blood -blooded uses, the film’s chills are present in the mood atmosphere and building super -tension.
It should be said that not everything in the story meets as it should, specifically in the last 30 minutes or so. This is where the details of the episodes are often explained, but not all of them get the attention they need on the screen. Aside from this, the “recent rituals” provides a very appropriate and satisfactory conclusion (if this is the conclusion already) of a series of films that managed to distinguish within this busy horror type. “The Conjuring: Last Rites” is now in theaters.
